A Very Strange Bushwacking Afternoon

Went to check out an off-trail pond - managed to get to the edge at one point but no fishing opportunity with all of the brush around. Tried to get around to a seemingly open area on the other side but was thwarted by brambles. Tore up by thorns, we made a grand effort and came away rewarded by the exercise if not a final payoff of a waterside clearing.
…38 degrees out.
On the drive back it starts snowing, the sun comes out and we find a couple of ticks. Strange days, friends.

…and

My bushwacking buddy’s wife gave me a gift.
…I love these things
.

Where were the ticks?

Well - mine was on my pants knee just as we returned to our carriage, and his made its way to his hand off his jacket about 12 minutes into the drive home.
…I have heard, then read recently that mosquitoes can also carry Lyme, but are less likely to transmit it to humans.

Why are they called ticks anyway?

Utah looks like it locked down the 4 spot today. Maybe not, but they’re looking good for it now.
Hart had another good game for the Lakers. He’s way better than that crappy Lonzo Ball.
