Anyone here been fired by phone?

Or is it just me?

Somehow I don’t feel bad. It was a horrible
place to work, and if the last 3 weeks are
any indication, they won’t be around for long.

I got out 3 apps today, and know some people
at another place who’ll fast track my application
as soon as they have an opening, which is
likely to be soon as they are getting busy.

It’s kind of a relief. That place was at least the
Fifth Ring of Hell, if not lower.

Change is stressful, even good change. Best of luck to you.

Then you’re well rid of it. There’s a better gig out there, go dig it up.

Well rid of it and how!

Their final spiteful act was to grossly misspell my
name on my final paycheck.

Fortunately 1) I wasn’t cashing it, I was making a deposit,
2) my credit union had seen this tactic before and had a simple fix.

Oh, and they REFUSED to sign my rebuttal.
Instead they used a generic “RECEIVED” stamp.

Good news: I got an appointment in May for my
cat to get her annual exam and tests at a nice,
quiet, vets office. The last one wasn’t working out.

Now to finish cleaning my apartment for
the inspection tomorrow.

Looking forward to the end of the week.

?

(body is clear enough)

New property management company
wants to inspect the units. We got the
notice on monday.

So I have some concerns about the
stability of my housing situation. But
I have a surprising number of people
pulling for me. I just need to find out
what are the intentions of the new managers.

Do you have any decent prospects where you live?

I know people who work at rival plants
one of whom has me down on the “hire
this person the second they get an app
in for a opening” list.

I’m not worried, and I’ve been getting
applications out, so I’m doing ok.
