Drug use finally tops Alcohol use in u.s. crashes, Thanks Trump

Is someone trying to scare people so they’ll vote against legalization of marijuana?

But Michael Collins, deputy director of the Drug Policy Alliance, an advocacy group, questioned that connection. Because marijuana can linger in a system for weeks, a driver might not be intoxicated when being tested, he said.

“I think you really need to take these kind of analyses with a pinch of salt,” he said in a phone interview.

By the way, the article says marijuana is involved in 36% of the 43% of accidents that involved drugs. That is not more than 1/3 of fatal accidents. That’s actually more like 1/6th (I didn’t do the math, Six – don’t get worked up). Ultimately, it’s even less than 1/6th, because they said 43% of people TESTED. How many involved in fatal crashes were not tested? Doesn’t say.

I hate shoddy journalism.

They claim weed was involved even if the person smoked it a month ago.
