I remember that, some plane from the Orient had bottomed out just before clearing the bay coming into San Francisco and went nose-up onto the end of the runway. The only person who died was on the tarmac when they sprayed the area with fire retardant, and the fire truck drove thru the foam not knowing she was under there.
That evening the news read off those names that were “verified” by some intern at the TSA, who was let go the next day
