Fucking avast got on my system somehow long ago and it was the fucking devil to do away with

Another guy in the comments describes the steps to eradicate CC from it, including a trip into regedit and another into the scheduler that I did not find the CC bit when I went in there. He did leave out to also uninstall it from the Control Panel, which I did anyway before rebooting.
REVO - uninstaller gets rid of most bullshit reg entries - free version there is
been using it for years - stone smooth
I used to use IOBit uninstaller but then IOBit was quite a piece of bloat-phonehome-shitware over time also.
