The earthquake was years ago, yes. But it was in one of the poorest countries on the planet, and clearly the recovery efforts have been pitiful at best. I think the US bears, in Haiti (as in so many other countries), some of the responsibility for impoverishing the country. So, I have no problem with Haitian refugees coming here.
