Four tornadoes and a macro-burst in CT and I survived.
No TV, no Internet, no Cell Phone or Landline Phone( thanks Comcast) but at least I have a power generator which hopefully is driving my neighbors nuts.
I got to go to the Shoppers.

You need a battery backup for your modem
Battery backups do not do a thing when fucking poles are laying on the ground
never had net with backup during a power failure - never
Was it like this, LR?
This is sort of like my ride to work that day.
Just for the phone, not the net. The phone signal is still there but the modem needs to handle it.
(edit: modem, not model)
Why would anyone in their right mind live where they have weather??
It’s more important to know whether there will be weather, than what the weather will be.

My phone and net are together - VOIP - when the power goes they both go - even with backup
So are mine except with the battery backup the phone stays on
You forgot to load NOSMOKE.DLL

It don’t take no tech genius to figure the phone is not gona work
did you try turning it off then back on?

The Besturds kicked me off the internets again…for the third time.~sigh~
My immediate neighborhood wasn’t hit too bad but when I drove a few streets away there were a lot of trees down.
There were nearby towns that were hit a lot worse than mine and I think that they were given priority as far as repairs were concerned.
Very funner.
I wasn’t joking
