Oh shit yer right, it is the 7th. Anyhoo I flew home today, and I wish I was still there, so it’s a day that will live in infamy for me.

While Trump dodged the draft because his feet hurted.
My father died when I was relatively young and we never spoke that much about the war. I had to try to figure things out piece by piece. He said that he was with my mother in the mountains for a weekend picnic when the attack happened.
My father then became part of a supply convoy and he became involved in the campaign to liberate Northern France. I always wondered why he would involve himself with a supply convoy; a very necessary function but not my first choice. I finally figured it out. He had polio when he was a child. He had a three inch scar on his back and I couldn’t even see the bottom of it. He had limited lung function, he did what he could do.
