I think one of the paradoxes in looking to the night sky and seeing the uuuugeness of the uviverse (if you are away from city lights) is that you feel very small in it all, but part of something vastly uuuuuuge at the same time. City people only know what is on the block they are on, the building they are in, the room. They loose their sense of place in creation.
PS: Unless they watch science shows on tv - but then it is purely intellectual rather than experiential. Probably they are watching cooking shows and infomercials anyway.

I will love to see this image viewed by the Webb Space Telescope when it is launched, The images will be seven times better than this one; you will be able to read license plates on the spaceships of all the planet folks.
