The weird ass shit you find on PBS

Pissed me off 'cause it took me awhile to find the damn thing online.

I’d only caught part of this when it aired on “On Story”.

It just fascinates me, the minimalism of the story, yet it says so much.

Then there’s the twistedness of the story. What do you guys think?

I like it. :+1:

From Sundance. Produced by the same guy who did Rectify – an excellent series.

This is kind of a Small World thing here. Somebody or another was going on at length recently about a film “The Accountant” which is also a Ray McKinnon creation. He is also known for the TV series “Rectify.”

This film you posted seems typical of his approach (as I understand it.) But the vampire connection is spooky, given the true facts of McKinnon’s very short marriage to Lisa Blount which ended in her untimely death.

I’m not sayin, but I’m just sayin … maybe @WitchKing should look into this.

Do you have me on mute, Spoon?

No, I had started the post before you replied and was interrupted by a phone call.

And even though it looks like I repeated one lousy factoid from your post, I did not edit because of the other points I made.

Did you forget to drink your prune juice this AM?

The ice you’re skating on is kind of thin in spots.

People who enjoy MacKinnon’s work about the South really need to find a copy of Richard Grant’s “Dispatches From Pluto” and give it a read.
