I grew up hearing stories about big game not always being dead after being sho,t and having them escape when the Hunter goes to get his truck or hikes down the canyon to retrieve the animal and then not being able to find it etc.

I had that happen to me. Luckily I was able to duck behind a small tree and he missed me and I was able to put another round into him from like 4 feet away.
I don’t hunt anymore though. Can’t stand the thought of it.

Only people that need to hunt to survive should hunt, imo.
