Bright Orange Bugs

Bill,

I was outside this afternoon doing some gardening and I noticed a bunch of tiny (really tiny) little bright orange bugs on my brick planters. They stain when you squish em. Could they be aphids or something else?

So why kill them?

I didn’t say anything about killing them.

Hello - How do you know they stain?

I put my shovel on three of them before I saw em.

Hmm… bright orange, tiny little hands, pestiferous…

Dunno, I got nothin

Here’s one taken with a macro lens.
It’s alive BTW.

ROFL!

Well played!

Do they taste acidic or tart? Oh and when you burn them do t hey burn blue or green?

Let me check…

Looks like a tiny red mite. They are small but they are all around in the warm months.

Starling, do you live on a Chicken Plantation?

I don’t, but I know a lot about roosters.

Ha! I knew they weren’t aphids!

Thanks Doc.

If you mate a rooster with a turkey, do you get a cock-gobbler?
