Gonna start off by saying I didn’t wanna pay for the service so I did my own oil change. Turned out I got sent the wrong filter- and less the two metal screens. So I changed my oil (oil was already drained), cleaned out the two metal catch screens that were full of break in debris and reused the oil filter.
Turns out the first service includes a valve clearance check, and 90% of the time a re-shim.
So I got the bike serviced and about 90 miles after my ghetto oil change, it got a real one.
The kicker is, it was about $90 in parts/oil and nearly $400 in labor.
But she’s doing great and at nearly 800 miles, I’m excited for more until I inevitably buy a faster bike.
