The Xmas Star

The clouds actually parted for me on Saturday and I was able to see them. Today looks blue as well, so I may wander out and see if I can see it tonight.

Not looking like we’ll get a chance.

This just now occurred to me. I find it interesting, don’t you @Sindy, that this “Christmas Star” is the combination of Jupiter, the King of Gods, and Saturn, of Saturnalia fame?

Are they conjuncting, or just good friends?

Planets with benefits. With a good telescope you can see them mooning over each other. Or at each other. Or something.

It’s good to see lots of xtians finally admitting that Jesus was a sun/star… next… Mushroom Jebus…

Remember that time LotusBud either confused or conflated Saturn with Jupiter?

you forgot “perhaps deliberately”

Funny, that’s exactly the way it looked from here, too.

That’s it, I knew I was forgetting something.

I was actually able to see it. My FIL, 10 miles away, was socked in.

How’s he doing? Wasn’t he having some issues a while back?

He bought himself a surprise bathroom renovation, being able to see into the crawlspace from the hallway was kind of a minus there. We been telling him the toilet shouldn’t be tilting to the left like that and he was all naaww, the tiles must have gotten shifted or something. I kept having to ask the chief renovator to please have his guys wear their goddamn masks around our 88-year-old dad.
