Not only is he incoherent, it’s clear he just learned about the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918, he’s telling us so.

Spain had nothing to do with it, we were just not liking Spain at the time (remember the Maine?) and decided to stick them with the name. It was most likely a Kansas Army Outpost flu.
I’m aware of that, it’s public health history. There’s a great book by John Barry…very readable and interesting.
