Heat wave = Crime wave

I know there’s a correlation to hot weather, but I’m pretty sure there is also a correlation to the Age of Trump with all the nasty interpersonal stuff, drug addiction, bad economy, and all.

Down here there has been an increase in shootings in just about every county.

Seems pretty calm back where I’m from, but what a creepy Stepfordish area… I don’t even like driving around there… I’d rather deal with the black gangs than the cop gangs.

I saw a map of the most racist places in the US and it was one of them and it didn’t really surprise me. It’s like Alabama north and they don’t like hippies either.

Probably 10 people shot here in the past couple days… I think there’s a mini gang war going on around here.

The cops should go hand out more guns, that should take care of it.

Big fires are better left out to burn themselves out.

This makes sense, people steal a lot of bottled water during heat waves.

Still in a heat wave?

Hi 80’s low 90’s… supposed to cool off a little though starting tomorrow.

We’re on a hot streak here in the PNW, and there’s more crimes being posted here than usual.

I remember reading some years ago that most murders, or rather a higher incidence of murder occurs at 92 degrees than at any other temperature… One assumes that at higher temp people just turn on the AC or go for a swim, and that most murders are committed in the equatorial region.

PS: August is evil. The years have convinced me of this truth.

There’s that in Brazil too

August is a month in which there’s lots of rabid dogs and it’s considered a bad luck month

August is evil! I’m having a hell of a time leaving the house during sun up hours.

I spent some time when I was younger living in Jackson, Tenn. It was not a swinging town at the time, other than a weekly church revival. There was, however, a moonshiner outside of town named Algie who talked like there was a frog stuck in his throat. It was a dry town. Thank Dawg for Algie.:grinning:

Some guys went to some dude’s house and gunned him down in the backyard, then someone went to one of their homes, shot their dog out back and burned the place down.

An old man in a wheelchair robbed a woman at knifepoint.

Manager at a fast food place shot at some customers.
