It’s simpler than a horseshoe theory. At the far ends of the spectrum lies authoritarianism. Cuban-Americans who fled Castro fear the left when they should fear autocrats.
They think the political rhetoric and the policies/behaviors of these regimes are the same. They are not.
Magadummies are the same. As long as they hear what they want to hear, they ignore the behavior of their leaders.
They simply want to “feel good”. It really is all about their feelings.
