Kitchen Gadget/Tool thread

strawberry (tomato) huller…these work great! Makes working with stemmed fruit/veggies easy. One of my favorite tools, I cook a bit…so saving time is essential.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago, it’s great for dicing up a bunch of peppers etc. for freezing.

Does it dice them?

Yeah, works good, the grid thing is razor sharp.

What’s the brand? Stainless steel?

Don’t think there is one, Aldis, $10… :stuck_out_tongue:

Doesn’t matter…just looking to see where I might find one.

Thx

Should be able to find one about anywhere that sells some kitchen stuff. I see there’s others online that are more complex which I don’t need.

You still have to core the peppers and for a bell pepper I cut it into about 4 sections but it’s a lot faster than dicing with a knife… came with 2 different sized grids/blades. .

btw, I had some garden carrots the other night for the first time and they were far superior to the store bought ones. Most were deformed looking but the best carrots ever.

Yeah, unless you have serious cooking skills…most of us don’t have the speed a chef does for dicing.

I’m way too klutzy for that…I dice myself but it’s time consuming.

One thing I want is a less messy way to strain my sauces. I cook them from scratch and I use a colander…but I end up with sauce everywhere. It seems I insist that my clothing and every surface in the kitchen partake of said sauces.

lol

I’d really like to have one of these… in fact I could use one right now.

Is that a vegetable mill?

I make many sauces from dried hot peppers in Mexican cooking. Sometimes even after rehydrating, they’re still kind of hard.

Yeah about like a meat grinder I think… removes the seeds and skin, or should… looks like the way to make sauce.

Are you serious?
