I think it’s sunny out today. I see a red ball in the brown sky so that must be it.

I have NEVER seen a fire season like this in all my life. My mom says the same thing.

You walk outside and it smells like camp fire.

Yup, same here, very smoky and hazy around here, last night towards twilight the sun was the most amazing color of scarlet/red/orange I have ever seen, of course the cell phone pics don’t even tell the whole story.

You just can’t capture it for some reason. I’ve tried too.

Chili says the natives up where he’s at used to manage the land well and do controlled burns every year that kept these massive wildfires from breaking out but then the gov. made it a big crime for them to do so.

Yep! We all know these massive fires are due to lack of controlled burns or not letting non-threatening fires burn longer.

So here’s what it looks like in my area:

I should note this was taken at 2pm.

It was lookin like that only gray in my area over the weekend, smog + more remote fires. Except for the one right around the corner last Friday

Sucks that you western folks are missing out on a lovely full moon.

B4 and after

It’s apocalyptic.

Dang! And kind of cool except for the damaging beautiful scenery thing.

I understood the fire had jumped the Columbia gorge yesterday and is now burning in WA also. There are some 1300 individual fires going in multiple states, some of them truly apocalyptic.

But hey, fuck climate change and bad timber management.

Some fukkin teenage kids from Vancouver (The real one, that’s not in Canada) throwing fireworks off a cliff. They are in a heap o’ trouble.
