Employees of a Walmart in Lebanon, Tennessee are likely, like other retail employees, used to calling police on suspected shoplifters. However, on this occasion, stealing merchandise is just the tip of the iceberg.
News Channel 5 reports police responded to a shoplifting call at the Wilson County Walmart just after 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. They spoke to the man and woman in question, and even briefly detained the male suspect, only to determine that neither of them had any stolen merchandise on their persons.
After both suspects were released, it was discovered that the vehicle they drove off in wasn’t their only one in the parking lot. Inside of the vehicle they left behind was a treasure trove of electronics and numerous materials for manufacturing meth. Officials properly disposed of any volatile chemicals and materials while investigators are looking into whether the electronics were stolen.

The operation was a small one (a “shake and bake” as the people at News Channel 5 put it) that would warrant an unimpressed scoff from Walter White. Of course, investigators aren’t taking the case very lightly, and while information on possible suspects is not being released, police say that arrests are pending.
