Paula Porizkova, the widowed wife of Rik Okasek, is catching heat for instagramming a handful of lingerie pics of herself at age 55. Her take is, “I think I look pretty good in lingerie” and “my critics are being ageists.”
Come on now, I think “ageist” is simply the wrong word since in terms of female beauty it’s merely an expression of misogyny. Paula has identified the barrier point as being around age 45 when women are subject to becoming menopausal and thus are no longer fertile.
